Upskilling in Guyana's Tourism and Hospitality Sector

The UK's Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality (CTH) is collaborating with ActionInvest Caribbean Inc. to address skill shortages in Guyana's booming tourism and hospitality sector. This week, they will evaluate local needs to expand professional training programs. Currently, ActionInvest is facilitating internationally recognized qualifications in tourism management for approximately 100 students, supported by Guyana’s Online Academy of Learning. The partnership is now poised to introduce practical skill courses like housekeeping and bartending, aiming to bolster the workforce as the tourism industry grows rapidly.
