Region 10 to be Major Investment Hub, ‘Centrepiece’ of Guyana’s Development

During the 58th Independence Flag Raising Ceremony in Region Ten, President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali detailed ambitious development plans that will transform the region into a major investment hub. The government aims to establish a robust manufacturing ecosystem, enhance transport and logistics, expand housing, and improve infrastructure. Significant investments include the construction of 45 bridges, the US$190 million Linden-Mabura Hill Road, and the US$35 million Wismar Bridge. Region Ten is also poised to become a central food hub, contributing to regional food security. The government's focus on inclusive development promises to uplift the entire region, boosting economic prospects and improving living standards .
