New Water Distribution Network for Karisparu

Karisparu, a village in Region Eight, is set to benefit from a new $60 million water distribution system, part of Guyana’s Hinterland Housing and Water Supply Programmes. The system, now 60% complete, aims to provide 100% access to potable water in the hinterland by 2025. Housing Minister Collin Croal announced that additional water tanks will be installed and the system completed by mid-June. This project is part of a broader $1.5 billion initiative to improve water services in Guyana’s hinterland regions.
