MMA-ADA Boosts Agricultural Efficiency with New $110M Amphibious Excavator

The Mahaica-Mahaicony Abary-Agricultural Development Authority (MMA-ADA) in Region Five has received a $110 million Amphibious Excavator to enhance its agricultural infrastructure. This addition is part of a broader governmental effort since 2020 to revitalize agricultural operations through better equipment. The excavator will be primarily used for dredging, vegetation removal, and maintaining over 740 miles of canals and 650 miles of dams in the Onverwagt scheme. This investment has significantly contributed to the cultivation of 85,000 acres of rice this season, with plans to expand to 100,000 acres, reflecting a robust strategy to advance agricultural development and reduce operational costs for local farmers.
