Guyana National Bureau of Standards Verifies Traffic Enforcement Equipment

In an effort to uphold accuracy and ensure the integrity of law enforcement activities, the Guyana National Bureau of Standards (GNBS) is carrying out its inaugural authentication of speed guns and breathalyzers used by the Traffic Department of the Guyana Police Force (GPF). This move, aimed at guaranteeing the precision of readings used in legal proceedings, is part of a broader push by the GNBS to adopt a more rigorous verification regimen for various policing tools. Future plans include training for the authentication of tint and sound level meters, enhancing the capabilities and reliability of traffic enforcement operations throughout the country.
