$150M Recovered for Unpaid Workers by Labour Ministry

The Guyana Ministry of Labour has launched the “Labour Advice” mobile app, designed to facilitate easy access to the ministry’s services, reflecting a shift towards digital governance. This tool allows workers to file and monitor complaints, enhancing transparency and efficiency. Additionally, the ministry has successfully recovered over $150M for workers regarding unpaid wages and other entitlements, underscoring its active role in protecting labor rights and ensuring employer compliance with labor laws.
